TastyPOP! Custom Pop Art Portraits
How Does It Work?  |  Choose a Design  |  Order Yours Today!

How do I order?
You can order via email or phone, using the information on the Order Yours Today! page. If you order via email, please provide contact information so we can get back to you to discuss and confirm your order. NOTE: Currently, canvas finishing services are only being offered for clients in the Metro Atlanta area. If you live outside Atlanta, I am happy to ship a rolled loose canvas with finishing instructions.

How do I know if my photograph is good enough?
First, try to start with a digital photo. Most digital cameras come with several available quality settings; make sure you set your camera on the 'Best' setting. Try to shoot close-in to your subject; their head and shoulders should fill the frame. Avoid strong shadows, and make sure your subject's face is clear. If you have an existing print photo you'd like me to work with, please scan it (or have it scanned at Kinkos) at 600dpi.

How do I get my photograph to you?
Please send your photo via email attachment. The attachment will likely between 1 and 3 megabytes. If you need help, I can walk you through the process when I confirm your order.

How should I choose my TastyPOP! portrait finish?
There are two ways I can deliver your TastyPOP! portrait:

  1. Loose Canvas
For: Clients outside the Metro Atlanta area and/or clients who prefer to stretch the canvas themselves or take it to their own frame shop.
With this option, I will take the finished canvas and ship it to you in a mailing tube, with recommendations for finishing and varnishing. Canvases are waterproof and archival as is, but I strongly recommend applying a coat of acrylic varnish to protect it from dirt and fingerprints. In addition, a glossy varnish will give added depth to the colors.
  2. Stretched Canvas
For: Clients who like the contemporary look of an unframed canvas.
With this option, your canvas will be stretched on heavy duty 1 1/2 inch stretcher bars and finished with a coat of glossy acrylic varnish. I stretch it for 'frameless' hanging, that is, all staples are on the back of the stretcher bars and will not show when hung. It can be hung as is, or you can have it framed.

How long will it take to create my TastyPOP! portrait?
Each portrait is a custom piece of work. Therefore, the turnaround for your art will largely depend on how many commissions I am currently working on. When I work on your portrait, I expect approximately 1 week to create a proof for your approval, and approximately 2 weeks after proof approval for your painting to be ready, depending on your finishing choices. I will work with you to keep you aware of my schedule and when you can expect your portrait.

How do I pay for my TastyPOP! portrait?
I accept cash, checks, or PayPal. For PayPal information, please contact me. I will provide an invoice of your price, plus shipping and sales tax if applicable.

What is your cancellation policy?
Because I am creating a custom piece of art for you, I reqire a deposit equal to 50% of your final price before shipping and sales tax. This deposit is fully refundable up until work begins on your portrait; once I begin work on your portrait, your deposit is non-refundable. Please note: You are responsible for your choice of photo. If you want to change your photo after I have begun work, it is the same as 'adding another face' and I will need to charge you an additional non-refundable $50.
